Who are we ?
Keeping in line with these goals, we gave birth to Project Virasat, with a vision to revive the languishing craft forms of India. We aim to uplift the dying handicraft industry and preserve our glorious tradition. We, at Virasat, believe in imparting the stories of journey, struggle and identity of the कारीगर, the source of majestic pieces of craftsmanship since time immemorial.
Our Mission
-Develop Virasat as a launchpad for struggling Indian craft forms
.-Creating demand globally through domestic and international market expansion
.-Enhance business opportunities, entrepreneurial zeal as well as the economic prosperity of our Karigars
.-Narrate the stories, tales and traditions imbibed within every Virasat craft form.
Our Vision
-To revive and restore the glory of Indian Craft forms
.-To empower the Indian Karigars and provide them with a sustainable livelihood
-To spread awareness among the masses about the significance of preserving Indian culture
-To create a comprehensive resource platform for traditional Indian craft forms.

How we began?
‘Karigar’- Centuries ago, this title evoked a sense of pride in those who carried it. To be a Karigar meant being a guardian of India’s rich cultural heritage. But today, the Indian Karigars numbering almost 7 million have been reduced to mere labourers. With industrialization and modernization, a majority of these craft forms and their practitioners have been pushed to the brink of oblivion. In order to restore their stature and amplify their voices, Virasat was envisioned.
